San Diego’s having a major book party, and I get to be a part of it. The San Diego County Library’s Book Festival is this Saturday, Oct 1, at the Encinitas Library. Speakers include YA great Ellen Hopkins, bestseller Lisa See, and Skinny Bitch series author Kim Barnouin.
I’ll be presenting in the community room from 5 to 6pm.
Here’s a downloadable pdf of the festival program.

Hey DH,
Great job speaking yesterday at the Encinitas Library. Thanks for posting about it here. If not for you I would have missed out on the education & entertainment of the day. I attended Harry Hamerniks’ seminar on “How to Draw Graphic Novels”
which was fantastic. He is one cool Cat. Plus….Wow…YOU are a really
good teacher too! In just 1 hour you covered so many facts needed for true success in the market place on a global scale for writers. Love your style. Next on my list is to begin studying your WYAF for Dummies book. My hat is off to you for taking the time to teach us all HOW TO Develop Ideas to Submit. Sweet!

It was great seeing you there, Laura. Thanks for stopping by here to let me know how you liked the session. I’m only sorry I didn’t get there early enough to see Harry Hamerniks’ session, too. Enjoy WYAFFD!
