Brave New World (hi/lo readers series)

Three books for struggling readers ask, “What is the price of progress?”

Rubicon Publishing’s REMIX series, edited by Dr. Jeffrey Wilhelm and Dr. Douglas Fisher, has been designed to hold seventh- and eighth-grade students’ attention and provoke continuing interest and inquiry in each set of books. Students will develop their reading skills through the authentic writing, engaging questioning, and accessible reading levels in each 32-page book. The books were developed using criteria from various guided reading and ELL/ELD guidelines. Deborah Halverson’s books Cyber World, Meltdown, and Robotic World challenge readers to explore the essential question, “What is the price of progress?”
