Letters to Santa: My first picture book!

November 27, 2012

My first picture book has published! LETTERS TO SANTA celebrates the 100th anniversary of the USPS “Letters to Santa” program. I spotted the book on display at my post office yesterday!

Letters to Santa is a great program, with USPS working with charities, companies, and individual citizens across the country in various ways to field those adorable letters addressed to “Santa Claus, North Pole.” I’m so proud to be a part of the program’s centennial celebration.

Pauline Siewert created darling, kid-friendly illustrations, and the publishing team put together a package complete with a pop-up finale and stationary and stickers so that kids can write their own letters to Santa. It’s a fun book, exclusively available through the USPS.

CONGRATULATIONS, Deborah! What a special way to commemorate the 100th birthday of USPS! Looking forward to the Post Office visits and buying your book to add along with your YA! I can’t wait to read it to my students. Your sons must be so excited to see your first picture book! Letters to Santa sounds like a fantastic program, too.
