Today is publication day for Writing Young Adult Fiction For Dummies. Huzzah! Friends and family have been sending me the most wonderful wishes and congratulations all week, making this event feel like one big party. And what is a party without guests? Meet Wiley, a surprise party guest sent to me by Barbara Fisch and Sarah Shealy, the brilliant (and hilarious) publicists behind Blue Slip Media.
NOW it’s a party.
Lynn Kelley says
Great party, Deborah! Bells, whistles, fireworks & Wiley! He’s just too cute. I bet your boys think he’s super cool. Cheers to your success!
They love him, Lynn. They’re the ones who named him Wiley (although I suggested it since the For Dummies publisher is Wiley Publishers).
Diane D'Andrade says
Now don’t get a big head. Not until one of your reades wins the Newbery. But if your heads not too big, congratulations, and I hope it sells BIG. Love, Diane
But I got a doll, Diane. That trumps the Newbery, doesn’t it? You need to work on your priorities, woman.
