New gig: San Diego Children’s Book Festival, May 4, 2008

February 21, 2008

sdfestivallogo.gifSan Diego now has its own children’s book festival! The free event, held on May 4, 2008, will be a dynamic, day-long family festival that invites children – from tots through teens – to experience the magic of books and meet some of the country’s top authors and illustrators. The Festival promotes literacy and benefits the San Diego Public Library. I will be part of a Teen Fiction panel at 2:30-3:30 in the Community Room. I’ll be signing books after the panel.

Activities include author readings and signings, illustrator presentations, story times, face painting, a bounce house, music, and more.

Location and times:
Sunday, May 4, 2008
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Nobel Recreation Complex & North University Community Library
8820 Judicial Drive, San Diego, CA 92121

(Just off I-805, near University Towne Center)

For more information, check out the festival’s website: www.SanDiegoBookFestival.org

Hope to see you there!
