This week I spoke with a class of third graders about the joy of stories–writing them, reading them, loving them. Next month I’ll be speaking to a group of professional writers aged twenty to seventy about the business side of publishing. In between I’ll be writing about poker. I have the best job, don’t I?
The February appearance is with the Southern California Writers Association meeting on February 16. SCWA is a nonprofit organization of diverse writers whose members are involved in a wide variety of areas including articles, essays, web content, children’s writing, short stories, novels of all genres, plays, screenwriting, and poetry. Non-members and walk-ins are welcome at this shindig, so if you’re in the area of Fountain Valley, CA, on the 16th, drop on by.
